The two-step pervades by will of this indenture Familiar terrain pursues unequivocal adventure Embroidery of fluttered leaves that fleet the air Some bold, some muted into changing tones so fair My skin takes hue of golden fantasize Ablaze in blue light, twilight glazed my eyes The searching sound in echo tone Along the lines of foliage blown So red, the maple leaves it’s covered bed Swayed in sweater weather its gold crowned head That plum of bearded birch congenial clustered ash A rusty ribbon vines the blinds to make a festive sash By bumper crop drops hickory nut Make thick the bumpy ground in rut Of furry friends in scribble scurry Hoard winter stores chance snowflakes hurry A rhythm wise perchance applies In vibrant turns as autumn sighs Copyright Kkh 9/18/04 |

Not quite sweater weather here just yet... it decided to be summer...LATE! But this song...is THE song of fall... and long may fall reign! |

TD, you write of seasons very well. Sad to say that I have to echo Sun's comment about Summer sticking around... Waiting impatiently for Fall to arrive and then I can turn off the AC!!! Yeah.... |

TD, you do make Autumn most beautiful with your delicate turns of phrase - this is a favorite - Susan Happiness isn't something that happens to you, it's created from within you. Joy is a state of mind. |
