A stream once meandered too complacent in trust Drew the water to form a provocative bust Change occurred at her hip, and the full of her lip From the past did she step, into velvet night slip In the breeze did she scent of his pillow dream spent Moving butterfly wing brushed in blue view relent Making time with his sighs the deep blue of her eyes Paused on pink cheeked expressions summer simmer and wise Though he brushed her away, mixing mortar with clay Keeping tight to the chap pushing too close away She got through even still, sat the point of his will For the add and subtract left out multiples still In his toss and his turn through a fevered nights burn She continued to mellow her cello of learn Mumbled curses and shout might he throw the bath out With the water and waves as a cold hearted doubt And his lips locked in stoic turned pillow to puss With her chin on her fists, ignorant of his fuss As her fingers spread shores in the silver of curl Understanding absorbed from the oyster to pearl And he lifted his head, standing tall as he was Cussing cupid and lockets, popping sprockets because There inscribed in the silence of impossible weight Shined the key to let open the impassible gate When the story was written he had failed to see That his glory forbidden in her heart could not be Little shivers made shore, leaving prints at the door In his hands shook her shoulders and they talked a bit more With the waters thigh high, just the gleam of his eye He unpacked and unrolled all his baggage there lie Just a mason by trade, building walls he had made And a stream that adored him stood her ground as conveyed Copyright Kkh 9/13/04 |

I'm speechless, I don't know how you do it, but I'm so glad you keep doing it. I guess if I had to pick one verse it would be this, mind you, it wasn't easy to choose! In the breeze did she scent of his pillow dream spent Moving butterfly wing brushed in blue view relent Making time with his sighs the deep blue of her eyes Paused on pink cheeked expressions summer simmer and wise I am truly in awe of your work, Kathleen. Thank for sharing your wonderful gift! |

This is wonderful, and I love the ending. ![]() Happiness isn't something that happens to you, it's created from within you. Joy is a state of mind. |

As her fingers spread shores in the silver of curl Understanding absorbed from the oyster to pearl You've impressed me before, but wow. I'm not normally a lover of many people's rhyme, as some tend to limit themselves and are forced into using words that don't fit, or repeat themselves, I don't know, maybe it's just me. but this, lacks nothing! It has rhythm and so much depth and imagery, and even though its longish, doesn't lose it for one second. I loved the above lines, and the whole theme. I'm keeping it! |

Understanding absorbed from the oyster to pearl And he lifted his head, standing tall as he was Cussing cupid and lockets, popping sprockets because There inscribed in the silence of impossible weight Shined the key to let open the impassible gate When the story was written he had failed to see ~*~ Your writing is book special...fantasies and luxury and common sense...rolled into one. I wish I could meet you...just to find out if you are human...or magician. I think, a touch of both. Thank you Kathleen, for your continued sharing! |
