where the wild flowers grow

You are much like a reflection
that I can't bear to look upon.
I suppose it could be my contempt
for mirrors... Simply
that I do not understand them,
they are foreign
twisted tongues of fire,

could
lapse into my
inadequate smile.

Why
do I love you?

The heart is such a cruel
weapon, marching in a structure
devoid of balance.
The way we each

suffer, for
this is a war of words,
pinned down and scratching
marbles that slip
like mistakes from my lips --
On the surface I am

nothing more than glass.

Being breakable is not
something I'd admit,
but this world has surpassed normalcy.

So I am burned to be shaped
any way that you please,

perhaps today I'll be a vase -
perched upon your mantle for all to see.

Or

I could be
a mirror, shaped like an oval
essence
of reflection. I, however, will not tell you

if you are at all fair.

I always like your poetry. Even back when I was Glistening Rain and my other sn before that I forgot. You're an awesome poet. Keep writing. You'll bless people other than just us here.

but this world has surpassed normalcy.

you've said it; and that's why we become at times victim to its hold on us, while we struggle as spirits in this material world
to maintain some sanity while stuck here.
love to read you.

Trapped within a mirror
Power in images
Firing power
Inspiring images
To seek images
To live images
In paid recognition
Of pain
In a currency of choice
To scar and tear
Nothing we remember
But decoration
For visitors

Meg! This is the kind of suprise I like. I always miss your words, your dark and dirty beautiful that makes me jealous of you.

The ending is intense. Those most beautiful to us (not the visual sense, but in their entirety) always seem to be so unfair to us, in so many ways, that they would be repulsive, if we didn't love them so much.

Keep up with the baby girl updates, I'm always reading.
