Golden watches heading home
Hardly pretending someone’s fortune
Wanting to hold southern lights
Evocative image, one in a million
Musing the suburbs of soul…circles
There are no bad ends…but steel doves
Hovering over the darker sides
As mirrors of truth become intimate gatherings
Open hands and white wine
Reading the heroism of leeward
The bloodstream of fire
Fidelity forming columns
Marching or’r the hours
Exotic lands…chambered round a honeymoon
Strutting tall grass winking fiction oscillating
Soldiers in high school jackets
Lifting growing space
Where we’ve unhinged the other side
Windows blooming massive concrete
Sun bouncing off sea
Pulling apples home in a cart of whispers
Rice fields growing bigger
With talkative streams
On a steady course of offerings
Tell tale people washing stones
Impossible to clean
Yet, tongues burn with hope
My lips pucker like a child-hood injury
Knowing a gust of cold breath
Will carry like a mutation healing
I smile and tease this life of peace
Pulling fish from shallows
Kissing the baby soft head of chubby cheeks
Assuming nothing, but a slightly imperfect meaning
“Where are you from” I inquire
While climbing in the passenger’s side
He grabs my arm and fastens my seat belt
And Sounding like a holy apparition, smiles and says
“I am the oldest of mirror images that turns the earth”
I smile replying “Whew, and I thought I was in trouble”
He says, “Any Regrets?”
I say…”Hmmm, one”…not kissing the burning body of night
As often as I should and not listening to the voice
Telling me precisely what I was seeing”

Lee, this was downright brilliant! I experienced so many sensations and visions while reading this illustrious poem, that I'm tuckered out! Whew! You take me on some interesting trips with your descriptive writing ability!

Have a superbly marvellous day!

Dear Lee, there must be at least one hundred poems that could be written from one of yours, you take us on such vivid adventures dear friend, each one new and wonderful, you give us all visions to ponder on and enjoy. Thank you for sharing.

Sincerely
Rick
