Maple leaf attached by nature's glue summer's song wanes with reduced light hue eleven points of chorophyll packed organs play I know under the green lies yellow and red wait for that familar autumn spread a spread for maple syrup springs a leafy cover palmate leaves bring the leaf just budded not long ago other wavelengths are set to glow... autumn again will paint the slopes warm air readings slide down ropes under green avenues lie hotter hues maple leaf tumbles to a familar spread after yellow wavelength then comes red. |
