I welcomed the stranger
sands newly swept
perfectly zen
laughingly left
rippling hills of au natural
crippling promises
meant to be wept
in a shell
on a shelf
in a jar
(were they left?)

with the others
in dust
and dulled by the sun
gathered
in ribbons
like promises kept
in a box
to be found after death.

Crystalline holes
imploding the shine
a pin on the map
in mock of the time
laughing
at listlessness
ain't that my way?
looking behind
my steps wash away
printed wet edges
intent in the foam
feet stomping music
splash her way home

all the way
in the spray
to the end of the tide...
I'm alone
I follow the river her bends -

we're alone.

I welcomed the stranger
"Brother," I smiled.
"Come, have a drink
and sit for awhile.
Tell me the world
that you see through your eyes
(Chrystalline holes
imploding the shine?)
I'll get you some water--
I wish for a well--"
in a shell
on a shelf

within reach.

...and I welcome the fact
that you are once again
within reach...

I needed this.

You did it again...Everytime I read one of your post, I find myself inquisitive, reading and re-reading, finding more every time.  I enjoy your unique style and great ability.

I would like to think, after death those memories will linger long,
and we will be remembered kindly, after all.

This made me cry, but then I'm an emotional kinda gal!

Your pen name suits you so well,  serenity~

Ser, this is one of my favorites from your pen, and that's quite a feat.
Keeping this one, it is WAY beyond the sands of time, and DAMN, I sure wish I could write like this.

aw Kacy...you, and all of you, are so generously sweet.

It was just a little something inspired by a shell on my bookshelves. I'd had it for years, and I was thinking I was glad that shells only echo the ocean.

Oh the stories she could tell, otherwise!

Thanks for reading.

It's so very lovely to be home.

The things that inspire us always amaze me.
This was beautiful.

Karen,
Even though time may drift between, each time I read your writes, I am transported to
A realm of higher mind.  The view is breath taking.

Your words, they tumble through my mind and I enjoy the ride -

Karen~

sometimes your words just blow me away....WOW oh WOW!

I don’t want the world to see me
cause I don’t think that they’d understand
When everything’s made to be broken I just want you to know who I am
