The clock chimes... a familiar unfeeling rhythm. Withered sighs upon the hour, as heavy smoke plumes dance in tune. The dimmed lamp above slowly glares, as windy dusk returns to night. An awkward silence descends and sink, Hush now... Listen to its reasonating doubt. Humming swirls of burnt out ashes, fills the air with a poignant staleness. Unfallen tears blind to another's stare, This conversation is simply going nowhere. "Who knows what evil lurks in the heart of Man?" |
