Aromatic Aroma

Autumn is upon us once again-
A chill in the air that will nip at your nose
and
make us walk a little faster, wear sweaters, hats
and lift our faces to the tingling breeze.
Getting cars and homes ready for the coming winter-
With its icy sleet, snow and howling winds.
Looking for that lost snow shovel buried in the back of the
garden shed.
Birds flocking getting ready to leave, going south,
to warmer weather and sunshine.
Tree’s loosing their colorful dress of green-
Now wearing colors of burgundy, yellow and burnt orange.
One of the many things to do is-
On a cool afternoon take a leisurely drive into the
country and visit the old cider mill.
The aroma of freshly baked pumpkin pie.
Delicious spices filling the air
making your mouth water with expectation.
Donuts that melt in your mouth and freshly made apple cider
sweet and tangy.
An experience made for thegods.
The time for carving pumpkins, riding on hayrides, and singing in
the dark.
A time for scary goblins and bobbing for apples.
A time for family and the giving of thanks for our daily bread.
This is a beautiful season, with its aromatic aroma
and
warm brilliant colors.
This ageless season of Autumn.

It was such a pleasure to walk among the trees and changing season.  Right now, I've got a broken leg and am not getting out much, and when I do it's not really a comfortable time that I enjoy the coloring leaves.  This brought me back to autumn, probably my favorite season.  Thank you!

Okay, I'll admit I love autum, but that whole sleet and snow thing - pleck!  And around here, nasty weather lasts like 8 months out of the year!

But to the colors of the change of leaves,I say, welcome sweet beauty.

Hi Bonnie,

I always feel like the months start racing by about now.
Before you know it we'll be ringing in a New Year.
You built a nice fire and seved up a generous amount of anticipation
while we wait for the season to come.

Nice to read you again~

Half an hour to get there and three days to get back.
