Slow Clearing

I wonder what you see through your eyes
when they rest upon me
and what makes you say the things you do
and not say others.

In my mind I have stored a coloring book of memories,
where it is okay to be out of line
and where a face can be blue or green and the sky red.

I wait for the times when the clouds lose their dark
and the brightness of the sun seeks to touch.
It is then that I am awakened to senses
that are hidden within and am aroused
to the desires that come naturally.

My words wish to have meaning all their own
where others may be enlightened, but
the depth of, is received only by those who know.

I am the before and the after
and the during has seemed to have lost its glow.
So I while away the course of each day
always wondering what you see through your eyes
when they rest upon me.

Thank you both, sometimes thoughts just churn until you write them down...sometimes they work and make sense and others...well
