I'm An Empty Island |

I'm an island empty today, My harbored love has sailed away. My fringing waves followed her wakes, Their barren shells strewn on my bay. The little birds bright'ning my trees, By wayward winds were whisked to sea. Maybe today upon my shore Will drift a sad and lonely oar. I'm an island so empty today; I hope my love sails back this way. |

Aw, I hope your love sails back to you too. Enjoyed this write. Hugs, Chris "At one glance I love you With a thousand hearts." — Mihri Hatun, Turkish poet |
