Cattail Sigh

on the banks of the river
there is a mossy bed
a velvet creeping blanket
I wish I could lay my head
or I wish to be the water
laying at your feet
the very skin of you
drinking a taste so sweet
or I could be the earth
a warm and solid ground
place deeply sinking to
and cover you around
or just to be the breeze
that whispers in the stalks
my words could caress you
in the ways that cattails talk

just some words cut out
from the diary of my heart

I do believe I'm in cattail heaven...
between you and the good Cap'n,
we should all be smiling...

More folks should get into this type of setting, relaxing. Nice read.
