Sunshine on Stone

She takes that walk, it is not the real her.
Foot testing the soil that rests atop
wondering if she somehow
knows, as she speaks her heart
to the missing of.

She takes that walk, reaches to touch
the warmth that sunshine produces on stone.
His name touched by fingers
wanting to hold and walk that childhood memory
once again.

These days are hard this time of year,
wishing to be a sister and a daughter
and to touch, to touch the real in the now
and not of the beyond.

These days are hard to understand.
These moments arrive too quickly but linger
to make the time too tearful
in the emptiness that once was shared
but no longer is.

She takes that walk over and over in her mind.
But today will travel to those places
where only those who know, will listen
to the feelings in her heart.

These moments arrive too quickly but linger
in essence...yes my friend..it is hard to lose.. and be left behind..

hugs your way..

Oh honey...did you write this for me?  No.  But you touched me...regardless.  Oh, a Keeper for my treasure chest!  Thank you Maureen!

Karilea - if I whisper, will you listen?  Keeping in mind, I must stand close...

I never had her strength nor my father's

and today I need them both...so

I am going to do some traveling now and have a visit with each.

Thank you for the hugs Ron ( I always can feel them from you)

And Karilea...I wrote this for me, but if it helps you then it is yours also.

Your deep sadness for and from those you love penetrates my own, I wish there were words worth sending you, but I know there are not any that could ease you from your pain, just know you are never alone, and if you ever need an ear to bend, you know where to find me... I like my ear bent now and then....
