Linger with him, by streams in the park
Rubbing tendonitis
You look at the sun, enter caves of amber liquid
Holding jewels like a pirates gold piece

Eyes moving barefoot
Like a city to itself, you are
A warming tree, waking us
Breathing blond eyebrows

Collecting defeated throats
Of little birds with broken wings
One not more significant then the other
That look of…
Equal intimacy, lusting sunlight
That all the she’s latch onto

Your superman with a flashlight
Going this way and that
Your people being people
An iron bridge over highways

But no one draws rings near him
He is a color to merely taste
A dream to dream
No one can wake

And light drives into his veins
And the distance between us
His passion draws arms in the night
While his senses sooth ya

A caretaker of rainbows
Floating smoothly through our thoughts
A home which takes a few steps
Moving close enough to taunt

Asleep in the next room
Pretending to taste my tongue
He is everybody’s man
Where futures have begun

On the edge of sweet will
Caregiver of womanhood
kisses our hands
opening sweet sweet doors to heaven
