The Flipside of Ice And then there is the obverse that may require doctor or nurse it’s ice upon the road and walk that slips one up and makes men gawk. Unless there comes a sweet Good Sam who’s treasured time’s not on the lam. S/he’ll turn and lift the slipped-one up give them stance and nurtured cup. Place them on a straightened course and the power of a strengthened force. Yes ice can be a bane to man trip him, set him on his can. Yet I will try to see its good cooling down the neighborhood upon a summer’s eve with nothing up my sleeve for ice up there would freeze my hair and give me bumps of goose-down lumps and chill my spine whate’er the clime. So until the winter snows, drink up your ice, assuage your woes and dance delight with me. ©September 6, 2004 Whether on the shoal or on the shore, I'll seek the lighthouse evermore. Thanks, both of you! And, Blues and Enchantress..., reading "I Only Have Ice for You" down the board may cause this one to make more sense as the "flipside." Whether on the shoal or on the shore, I'll seek the lighthouse evermore. |

Virginia, Fun write. Only you could have gotten another out of that! I had a friend who slipped in the parking lot at work and she ended up half under her car. It was very entertaining. If tears could build a stairway and memories a lane, I'd walk right up to heaven and bring you home again. |
