Sometimes a song goes through my head, a tune I cannot escape, especially at work - mostly older tunes from ages past.  This one got me to playing, so I'd like to credit the author of "By the Light of the Silvery Moon" though I'm not certain who they are -  but it was fun to play with

“By the light of the silvery moon”

Can you hear its sweet melody?
As old man moon winks at me
Smiling softly, almost benevolently
In pleasure that lovers should meet
You and I, hear at his feet

“I want to Spoon”

Let your lips taste the sweet of me
As your hands slip so lovingly
To pull me into the core of thee
Your eyes feasting hungrily
Until I feel you’ve devoured me

“To my honey I’ll croon love’s tune”

Speak your words of passion’s quest
Your voice tempting to lover’s bliss
Awash in tones of the Angel blessed
Raining over me as Celestial mist
An aria of the splendor kissed

“Honeymoon, keep a-shining in June”

The warmth of the night is ours
Standing here beneath Moon and Mars
‘Taint nothing between us barred
Embracing souls dance amongst the stars
Carried off to worlds afar

“Your Silv’ry beams will bring Love’s Dreams”

Loose yourself in the feel of me
To be lovers is our destiny
A magic woven through the eternities
A fulfillment of our fantasies
Beneath this exquisite moonlit canopy

“We’ll be cuddling soon”

Lay me down upon this dew kissed bed
Let your motions be ardor led
Until our deepest needs are fed
And all our lover’s talk is said
As weary slumber sweeps away our heads

“By the Silvery Moon."

Susan, I really enjoyed the contrast with the song and your writing.  This was so creative!   .....jo

Loved the way you pulled the song apart and made the poetry fit; did it help get the song from rolling around in your head?

If it wasn't weird to ask someone to marry you through a poetry forum I'd ask you to marry me through a poetry forum. Seriousily, this is how I dream of passionate true love. I cannot take one part of your writing from any other and I won't. In it's entirety I cried inside and my tear ducts became soggy. Tunes often get stuck in my head too. Especially in my bed at night or in the morning. When most of my thoughts come rushing like violent wind. I feel like ..well It made me almost wish it was about me. lol. Silly huh? If your love is truly that deep then whoever finds you is truly lucky.

Susan, I enjoyed this, as I did something similar with another song a long while back.  This is very creative, and it made me smile!  Thank you!

Susan, I am glad that you smile and your heart melts. With this poem my heart melted enough it became a liquid then so scorched by your flaming words became a mist much like some subliminal bliss. I hope I can learn more of you as well. I will attempt to read the entirety of your poems. Your depths aren't dark at all, In fact, they coruscate in my eyes now and I long to see what else could come from a dazzling mind. I will also try to expose myself through my words and tell everyone here of my simple life strife turned to something more dramatic by a dramatic passionate love inside the dark attic of my mind.

- Haze

P.S. I love the way your words capture my essence in a little spirit ball conjured by your being so beautiful to me. I can't be fake with someone so real as you. These things so true.
