There are passions deep inside us all that only hope might free
There are dreams that seem impossible, but others that could be
A friend within who’d like to try another road and way
A maze of tangled wishes that are lost to everyday

Life is much too complex than to say what might amend
With years of built commitments and the years so hard to mend
We’re child like to surroundings that just make us feel at home
How coward us, the victim who accepts their time alone

Everything is nothing when peace can’t find the soul
As searching dreams and miracles won’t make what’s missing whole
The thought that time will reckon and payback all what’s been lost
Just keeps us waiting longer to sustain a greater cost

There are wise men, there are healers, there’s religion we can try
But truth in wanting better is the cure to the lie
And only we alone can change what eats away within
Let’s plant a seed of courage to then help a life begin

What's that saying, my friend,
about having faith the size
of a mustard seed?

Same could go for hope.

It doesn't take much...
it just takes having.
