I Raised The Window

I looked outside as the rain
played chopsticks on my window
wanting to be divorced from the room
I got lost in the long lightening fingers
massaging this reminiscent tune
and somewhere in the background
percussion screamed for attention
but the tender notes played at my heart
southern air thick in this sweat of passion
with each note sizzling against the heat
so I raised the window and leaned in
for a kiss

I like the imagery of this, being kissed by the rain.  Makes me remember a time when I loved a good rain storm.
