A New Season Comes

in this heat
I feel the sweater weather
it is coming soon
with the silver wind
and the curl of leaves dried
I am preparing this time
having the stock ready
and things from harvest stored
life has changed
to where a fire will burn
to chase the damp away
for the world has turned
and I will be in
a different place
when a new season comes

I like the feel of this, it breathes of change.

Very well done, short and sweet.

Acceptance is the first step of preparation.

Uh huh ... I have known this season too~
And with it ... changes dawned anew
Each more lovely than the past
Each now etched to foreverly last~

You are a lovely word-presenter, my poetess~
