A dream in Braille

Worn the touch of Braille to skin
The sands of time has worn so thin
To touch the bottom of my sea
To stir again my life with thee

It’s there I found the vein of gold
The staple to my age of old
The manna of my desert stroll
My ecstasy and food of soul

I sleuth it through Chantilly lace
The bed and rose that I embraced
Locked it in my Ivy tower
The food and flower of my power

It’s there my eyes can see the light
And bring the stars back to my night
Reach in and touch my prime of core
To time my heart forevermore

It’s here my sun is born and done
Where one and one is always one

Good morning, Sy!
Glad I could be the first one to comment on this gem.  I absolutely love your spirit, Sir!

Drink a spot of tea with me?   Have a good day, Sy.

On second thought, I think I'll skip the tea, grab this poem, and run with it to my library for that rainy day when I need a fresh cup of optimism.   Thanks for being you!

See more:
A fine poem to open my day...
Braille is a tactful word, used well here, I assume to signify the touching not only of bodies, but also by minds.

My mind wanders all around when I read a poem such as this...Perhaps I am looking too deep, but their seems to be a magical potion in here somewhere, something that raises the braille dots higher, so that you can feel their touch more intensly? Doesn't matter though, the face value of the poem is worth the price of the time spent in reading.....

Come read to me some poem,
Some simple and heartfelt lay,
That shall soothe this restless feeling
And banish the thoughts of day.

I've drempt in color, but never braille

Lovely poetry Sy...I can never read your words without thinking back to Cape Cod and that wonderful Sy hug in person...can you believe it's been over 3 years now since us poets shared real hugs instead of cyber hugs...much too long in my book. I miss you all dearly.

To know the braille of winsome dream
is to know the heart, and feel the gleam
it is, my friend, an ever-more,
it is the wave come to kiss the shore.

I love it when you inspire me!

Where one and one is always one

Yes,  makes me think of binary...
and trons...

But this poem speaks of you so well.  The
beat of your drums so rhythmic.  Good evening
Sir Sy of Tabin...hope you are steering
clear of the lastest hurling hurdle of
a hurricane....I wish you well.
