If my mood were blackest jet, I'd be stealing your thunderous roar just to feel coarse rumbling throughout and you would feel this lightning flash if my mood were black. If my mood were white, I'd be warmest sunshine after storms illuminating the day so that you might find your way if my mood were white. But I find this mood is gray, a solemn, ponderous gray, holding partial particles of thought that entwines night with day as part of dusk melds with parts that dawn too early and the division portends the divide So I try to find a medium, a certain somewhere in between where shadows play through dark and light; hues blending sunset into sunrise and tomorrow's colors are yet unseen. So give me, love, my dearest love, my daydream in its whole, then take me on my way, our way, to the edge of this, our great divide where seams of seem may dream the when, where shadows black and sunlight white may once again collide. |
