Sharing Time and Energy

If neither is living in
a fantasy world or
having extraordinary
expectations, they should
be able to make a rational
decision on who they want
to be their friend, lover,
companion or spouse.
Seeking desired qualities,
I believe most of us choose
friends according to our
first impressions, which
would give us a small
revelation of who they are.
Do we like the way they look
(not looking for perfection),
is their personality compatable
with ours (respect and understanding),
if we are interested in them, do they
show an interest in us, are they
available and for the right reasons
(very important), are they looking
for a similar type of relationship,
are they emotionally healthy, do they
possess the desirable qualities you admire
and desire in a friend, are there common
areas of interest, such as entertainment,
sports & travel, do you feel more comfortable
around emotional or intellectual types?
All of these things will be explored in the
beginning stages of a friendship, and none
of these things will be revealed without a
desire to know, and the relationship will not
continue for any period of time without
desires generated from both sides.
Is one person thinking the other is
fantastic and the other person thinking
they are only better than nothing.
Answers yet to be determined by
the sharing of time and energy.
