In this world, born of deceit my struggles take faces in a growing population The seeds of sorrow that were nursed by guilt have been left untended and are now overgrown Regret lingers heavily amidst the damp foggy air because of a history comprised of mistakes Dreams are carried away on a brisk, screaming wind Memories of joy and laughter become a worthless commodity The love and trust and friends I've found were simply a part of the grand masquerade The fallacies of my life have been forced from the shadows Of this world I've come to know |

I too, see some realities of myself in this piece. Quite picturesque actually. What we need is the wisdom to see the fallacies before they become to real or painful. The more you praise and celebrate your life, the more there IS to celebrate. ~Isis~ (Daughter of Mystery) |

Mo-once again we have something in common. I was crying when i thought of this one. It is a harsh truth that has changed me forever. I am so very flattered that I have touched you so. Isis-it sure would be nice to see them before they come but most of the time I would suppose we don't. These are what we learn and grow from. And hopefully become a stronger wiser person. Thank you for your comment. |

danni, don't know how I missed this one. Your words are so alive and vivid. "Dreams are carried away on a brisk, screaming wind" That is an awesome description. Another one that got me! |

Wonderful danni...you certainly did a good job with this one. Very beautiful and painful which are two things I've come to love so you can imagine my fondness for this piece. DE |
