Her eyes speak to me with love Two beautiful pools of blue Showing me an angel sent from above With skin of fairest hue. . . I can see the pain they hide And feel the tears that have been shed But through the pain I can see the beauty reside A beauty dying, that needs to be fed Spring forth beautiful one, From behind the mask that you've hidden. Show us your eyes of blue and hair like the sun And of your pain be ridden. . . That which gives light must endure burning --Victor Frankl |

This is a very beautiful poem Sven. I don't know if I've said it before, but I love reading your work. It truly speaks to me. But for this one I replaced the blue eyes with green while reading it. |

Sven, This is beautiful. Isn't it funny how we like certain eye colours? Having blue eyes myself I love to look into deep brown eyes. Strange that. Anyway this work speaks volumes The more you praise and celebrate your life, the more there IS to celebrate. ~Isis~ (Daughter of Mystery) |

Wonderful poem, Sven. It's hard to see that kind of pain in someone, and never know if they will "spring forth", as you say. Michael |

I was never partial to any eye color....until I peered into a pair of endless steel blue eyes... Truly a beautiful piece jenny Love is an attempt at penetrating another being,But it can only succeed if the surrender is mutual. |

I know I have said this to you a thousand times before, but you're a reallly good poet. You're a really talented person, keep up the good work, Sven. ********************************************* There is no more turning back this way The path is overgrown and strewn with thorns They've torn the lifeblood from your naked eyes Cast aside to be forlorn.. -Sarah McLachlan |

"Spring forth" Those two words speak volumes in themselves. They speak of something sudden, perhaps even violent -- an interesting way to look at recognition of self. 'Tis always fraught with uncertainty. Well done. --Kess You cannot choose the way of your death, but the path you choose will determine its own end. |

Uh-oh. I'm beginning to think I'm weird. Nah, just jokin'. I had put myself in this beautiful poem, that's where the green eyes came from. But since everyone's putting in their preference i just had to add mine. I've always been kinda partial to brown or green. So, there's my two cents, and I've probably rambled on more than I should have. I'll just be going now. [This message has been edited by danni (edited 12-14-1999).] |
