Here lies the heart of the person I am,
Shot down in cold blood, I just don't understand.
Finally finding love, so much to live for.
Ripped right out of my chest, gone for evermore.

Its utter existence swallowed up by a void,
Only the pain remains from the love it deployed.
To young, to beautiful, to sweet to die.
To sudden to try to understand why.

"I'm here to love you, not destroy you.
Please believe me. I implore you."
And you said my love was all you needed,
My only problem was I believed it.

But I won't go on grieving nor cry anymore tears.
I must carry on with the living for my remaining years.
Giving no flowers for they'll just die in time.
They'll just rot away everyday on a grave,
That lies in a place where the sun never shines.

Somewhere near the bottom of the loneliest hill,
Where the river of emotion runs completely still.
And I'll never again visit that pale, cold, tombstone,
Rest in peace my heart, eternally alone.
