darkness falls and i began to tire. slipping into the covers, i garnish the thought, of the dreams that may ensue. my mind borders on the edge. reality or fantasy, unknown at the time. does this world really exist. walking into realms that can only be, figments of the imagination. seeing myself as third person, and just the portrayal of an actor. working without a script, adlibbing along the way. never a rehearsal before the curtain goes up. playing before an audience of unknowns. going from act to act, scene to scene. props that reach out and touch, the beauty so serene. music floats from the symphony, crescendos at just the right moments. placing me at center stage, or in the wings, with an unreadable script in hand. the indulgence that my mind gives, preludes the peace when my mind pretends to sleep. walking from dream to dream, i never want to wake. me. |
