banish me to outerspace,
lock me in the moon
fly me out- a shooting star
free me from this darkened room.
ive sailed the ocean a million times
and battled the fiery seas
ive braved the desert,a walking corpse
through time and eternity.
ive groveled in the face of death
to attempt to gain my wings,
to untie these unruly ropes that
hold me to my brutal dreams.
i try to escape to an lighted door
and fumble to find a key,
then tumble down a rocky cliff
and end up back in the sea.
a thousand angels couldn't save me
from my grasping breath
i slowly sink to the bottom
and reach the murky depth.
i feel the pull of destiny
and absorb it in my skin
i lose my breath
i lose my life
another lover sliced by sin.
