You are the darkness in my eyes
You're my own question of beauty
You thrive like a weed in the shadows

On the inside looking out
The most favorable place to be
I lie on the edge because i choose to

When i'm waiting for your voice
The most natural sound to hear
I talk to myself as if you're listening

It is easier not to know
The more quiet peace of mind
That you're not really mine, not forever

But is it really kind?
Does it leave peace through the soul
When I wake up and you're sharing my own pillow?

And when i feel small
Is it really me at all
Or is it a false sence of the question?

Sometimes holding on to something we know we can never hold on to is much easier than the alternative. Very enjoyable piece. Thanks for sharing with us.
