MISBEGOTTEN Though history never changes, Though her pages are wrought in stone. ‘Seems my mind slowly deranges All realities I have known. I can see Love reaching to me In murky shadows where I dwell. But cringe when touched, the soul's debris, A paranormal living hell. The voices whisper in the dark, Wrigglers eating across the brain. Worshiping me, the patriarch Of the nominally insane. I dare not close my eyes tonight, I know they will be waiting there. Those ticklish shards of Sin's delight That stick and prick me everywhere. I curdle my knees to my chest While rocking back and forth the hours. Wishing away all sleep, all rest, Succumbing not to her powers. She is the insatiate Whore! She wields her wrath, no self-control. She opens that unconscious door Sets her leeches upon my soul. Dare I meet her in the middle? ‘Tis there I taste the witches curse. Pent to solve her hellish riddle, I hold my honor to my verse. I bind you and your vile vermin, By the power of three times three. Cast back on you each Dark Demon As I will it, so shall it be. So, now, seethe in your own shadow, By your own spells, misbegotten. As the winds of tomorrow blow, Know your worst fear - you're forgotten. "An' Harm ye none, do as you will."
