My world, so small.
My reach, so vast.
Went online to get over the past.
Hoping for glimmers of love,
Maybe even some truth now and then.
I share my craft,
My tool, the pen.
Thought happier words would weave
Their way inside.
New friends,
New places.
Soon it will come to be.

Uh, I am still waiting.......
Watching the light die in me.

I think you've come to the right place to make friends..a friendlier bunch of people I've never seen..they're like friendly puppies..but they don't lick your face!

I too think you have come to the right place to find friends with similar ways to your own.  I haven't been here a year yet and have already found a kindred spirit, a little brother, a sister and online father
Seriously!!!
Respond to other's work offer an email, send a card, a poem to other members's soon enough you'll make friends.  Sometimes you have to take the first step.....

I'll tell you this...... No eternal reward will forgive us now for wasting the dawn.....

Lovely poem, but don't despair, it's much easier to make friends online than it is in reality, and I'm sure you'll find plenty. I, for example, love all your poems I've read! Also, as I have mentioned elsewhere, I met my husband on alt.vampyres, of all unlikely places ...

It is a double edged sword, offering your emotions, sometimes it wounds but the rewards are just as real, just as true, and the connection just as meaningful.
