Can it be? How? I never thought that I could be this cruel. Or stupid…. Why must I trap myself behind walls of emotions? Why do I keep falling away from what I love? I feel undesirable and alone; feelings brought on by myself. Where do you turn when your back is up against a wall? Nowhere to run to, or hide. I await the doom. I hope that by some miracle I will see the sun shine again. My tender heart is sore from pouring out its desires. I know a place to turn. It is here, with the people that have the same dark times. Here is a safe haven, a bastion of hope. Here is home. Jeffrey Frazier 6-8-2000 [This message has been edited by Poet deVine (edited 06-08-2000).] |

Oh dear. You place some gloomy questions here. If you've really hurt someone and regret it you should let them know. Even if they can't forgive you, it's still better that way. Often I think we hurt others just out of fear of being hurt ourselves, although we then end up hurt. Makes no sense, but humans don't make much sense a lot of the time. Hi... I like your style. Your words are meaningful - exactly in the right place for the reader to visualise. I look forward to reading more of your poems ) "No one is useless in this world who lightens the burdens of another." -- C Dickens |

Lotharingia, I did tell the one I hurt that I regret doing so. I only wish I knew if she could forgive me. Alas, I cannot say what the mind of another human being thinks. Jeffrey |

jyffyf, (gee, that's complicated to spell!), if you've told her what that you're sorry you've taken the most important step. It's easy to hurt, you can do that without wanting to, it's more difficult to admit you were wrong and say you're sorry. Of course you can't get inside her head, but if she knows you didn't mean to hurt her it will make a big difference, even if she feels she can't forgive you. taramw, the smily was an accident, and not a big deal. I found it mildly amusing, even. Thanks for the smile. LeeAnne Dk, thanks for the encouragement. Lotharingia, don't worry about spelling Jeffyf, just call me Jeff. Thank you again for the words of wisdom. I am always needing advice in one capacity or another. Thank you all! |

exactly how I feel, though I had never written anything before joining this forum. I feel that I have found a group of people that can understand what I feel. This truly is a new home. I too hurt someone. I think I did it because I didn't want her to peek inside my soul. I thought that perhaps she would not like what she saw when she got there. I was wrong to do what I did and now I feel much worse. |
