She'll never get it through her head, he beats her more she'll wind up dead. Lookin for excuses for him everyday... only things she's doin' is wasting away. Screams coming from their house every night, here come the cops for another fight. Next day see him apologize... and everything's alright. See him knockin' at her bedroom door, "Love ya baby can I have some more?" Let him in hes ready to score, beat her around and make her love you, abuse her and feed her addiction. |

Hi AngeliX Thats bad and sick of a person. When you're in love you shouldn't hurt he object of your love and affection. If you beat a person you're not only physically mutilating her but also destroys the trust she had placed all along. He's foolish rampant person and never trust him. Sincerely A_L |

I am glad you didn't say that you love him...if you did, I missed it while I was trying to keep from saying some very bad things. One message*** Love does not hurt! Get out while you still can*** Hugs, MagnoliaBlue |

I love poems about things like this. The really incomprehensible things in life that just happen again and again. There's so much violence out there, so much abuse of the helpless, and of those too weak to help themselves, for whatever reason, be it love or fear, culture, or lack of self confidence. I really like the snappy flow in your poem and the way you avoid tear-jerking phrase. The simple facts say it all.
