Storm The sound of the rain, The feel of the thunder, A storms moving in A man can’t describe the wonder The feeling you get As the sky darkens gray You know the power the storm Brings in, as the trees start to sway As the rain starts to pour As the lightning begins to flash You know to run for cover Before the ceiling starts to crash As you hide in a corner You can feel the floor begin to shake The lightning flashes on the walls As the tree branches begin to break The wind starts to swirl And has the sound of a freight train As the powers knocked out You can feel your energy begin to drain Just when you thought you were through You decide to open your eyes As you glance all around Everything is fine, to your surprise. As a general rule I like storms, they remind me of the beauty and awesome power of nature, and of just how fragile we are. God grant me the serenity to accept the people I cannot change, the courage to change the one I can, and the wisdom to know it's me. ~Unknown |

God I love storms, living on the coast, I'd go down to the beach cliffs during a storm, and ride out the wind on the edge. Great poem my friend. Joel. I howl a mournful song, that echos within my chambered heart, for all to read? nay for all to feel. |

~Ok,...it was so very cool reading this right now. There's a storm in action where I am right now. While I was reading I could hear the wind whipping and the rain smacking and so forth. So it was an added effect to an incredible piece of poetry. Thank you for a truly great read. *Peace. |
