She wakens with the morning light,
Scent of lavender fills the air,
My unseen Muse, my key to nature,
Thank God she's always there.

In gowns of flowing white,
As white as the waterfalls from which she came,
Wings of fine gossamer silk,
Clutching her ankh in her hand.

Vieled in mystery,
Her magic descends on us all,
In that fabled witching hour,
I hear her footsteps in the hall.

She is restless,
Longing for times long past,
Strolling the moors again in memory,
Stardust makes the night time sky last.

Bringer of peace and tranquility,
She spurs me to share love and happiness,
She sings when I sing, together in harmony,
She is an unseen comfort in times of distress.

She understands so much more than I,
Yet she shares this knowledge with me,
When loaded with life's heavy burdens,
She alone can set this heart free.

She has broadened my perspectives,
Taught me to see the beauty in everything,
Her true heart never flounders or trembles,
She lifts eternal darkness' ring.

She tells me the legends,
Takes me back in time to places afar,
Other cultures, other ways of life,
All enlightening never bizarre.

The queen of Gods and Godesses,
She teaches me to see,
She still travels the highlands,
She's my muse, the integral part of me.

She is an unseen spirit,
The Goddess reborn again,
I am merely her humble vessel,
Until she reigns again.

what an inspiration!!! This is so uplifting, and I think this "muse" is someone you should keep close company with, it's so beautiful, we all have a muse, but it's really our imagination isn't it? Isis, I hope to see more of this enchanting flow in your writing, it's a wonderful talent.

I think we all have our muse
We just need to open our hearts
And close our mouths
And listen

Very beautiful modest Isis

Isis, a wonderful poem. It is always handy to have a celtic spirit close at hand especially one as wonderful as what you described;
In gowns of flowing white,
As white as the waterfalls from which she came,
Wings of fine gossamer silk,
Clutching her ankh in her hand.

Vieled in mystery,
Her magic descends on us all,
In that fabled witching hour,
I hear her footsteps in the hall.

beautiful.

oooh more supernatural spookiness! I like it lot's Isis   It kind of reminds me of the feeling I get when I'm walking on dartmoor or in the highlands of Scotland (not as often as I would like) and I wonder who has walked this path before me in times gone by, what kind of people were they and so on.

nice one,
Eric.

Love ya kid.
