someday soon
the furor will die down.
pity will fade in the midst of strength.
empty condolences will evaporate
in the mist of their conception.

someday
regret will no longer berate
unspoken thoughts and unkissed kisses.
time will not laugh at tears
for things yet to be that now are impossible.

soon
i'll be able to forgive life
for robbing the world of true beauty.
i'll be able to embrace the memories
and not live in a vortex of numbness.

someday soon
but not now.
for now,
let me grieve.

Very well-expressed.
The need for grieving takes time ...
there is no pre-determined amount of time
for it to be finished.
I think it is never finished actually,
it just greets us less frequently as time goes on.
