I sit here wondering why You continue telling me lies I'll be home by eight Will not be that late Just going to check things out I really do have a doubt Shouldn't take three plus hours Last shred of faith begins to sour I wish that just one time You would spend a dime Pick up the phone and say I will be later than I thought today Guess it doesn't matter much Never feel the your gentle touch Upon my cheek After the next two weeks We will both have our own place Put forth a new face Try to repair my heart Find all the missing parts Pass this awful test Know it is for the best Deep down I already knew The lines that you drew Friends are friend forever if the Lord's the Lord of them and a friend will not say never cause the welcome will not end. --Michael W. Sometimes I feel the lies are the worse part. Do they think we are silly enough to keep believing them, do they realize how they destroy our trust not only of them but of others in the future? And yes, it's hard to finally admit that it was lies, and admit to ourselves the truth, when in believing lies, we have been lying to ourselves too. Take care... AVANTI...So sorry to hear that you have been in a similar situation. Not fun at all. I guess we all know deep down, but it is hard to accept and admit it. Thank you and take care!! Tess...Truer words were never written, my friend. The lies are the worst...it just ticks me off to no end when I think about it. Yes, trust will be very difficult in the future. I am done lying to myself, just not worth it anymore.
