THE FALCON AND THE DOVE Into the winter flew the falcon and the dove Two separate lives, yet so alike. One looking for a place to soar and fly, The other for a place to nest and die. Don't give in to the feelings outside you, Remember what you have inside. Others may say that they know what is best. They always judge and analyze, Not realizing that they tear apart, Every thought and dream in your mind. Give me peace and a place to rest, Like the dove within her nest. Give me strength and the will to fight, Like the falcon in flight. I have risen and I have flown Like the falcon I have soared alone I have wandered and I have roamed Like the dove I have found a home. Without darkness there is no light Without the light we cannot see the dark Balance...It heals the soul -- by: LB |

Wonderful imagery!! I'd like to be a bird, but also I wouldn't, I feel sorry for them in severe weather!! A heart and soul are not judged by how much you love, but by how much you are loved by others... ~Isis~ (Goddess - Sovereign of the Spirit) |

Simply beautiful! You have a unique talent! The imagery and the descriptions are perfect, reading your poem allows the reader to fly as well. Applause! Take care, Melissa Honeybee |

I can't add to this, but to say it's beautiful. Thank you. Your writing has meaning and worth. Joel. I howl a mornful song, that echos within my chambered heart, for all to read? nay for all to feel. |
