-Neglect- Replace the threat until you need it For so long you were wrongfully abused But now you look back and admire the view Your dysfunctional childhood renewed feel the scars forgot the pain Replace the thread, it runs through my head I was dragged under by both of you As you thought I slept you argued Have to stay together for the kids feel the tension remember the hate So why do you think me unscathed? Obviously you do not know my pain I've been opressed depressed redressed and everything in between I was always the odd one out at school Mostly diligent and kind to all but myself My generousity was my way of saying thanks To all my friends who led me past you feel the tears forgot the love So why do you think me unchanged? Obviously you never took notice of me I've been wronfully abused for so long not only by one but both of you Shattered memories Hidden by the hate Happier times shared No longer can I taste See I can claim My abuse did register Always quietly reserved I hid the pain, I hid the pain |

Wonderfully written! I also have been there,and the hurt goes on forever. It did save me from making the same mistake with my daughter though. I guess that is the silver lining for me! It will get easier! |

Hi I've been haunted by so many things in the past just 'til 2 weeks back. You know what I did. I poured myself totally into someone whom I really love and trust and she also shared with me to some extent her difficulties. She said this wonderful thing then. She told me that, I've reached a state where no one can question me or bother me. I wish that you elevate yourself beyond other people's eyes not to escape them,as we needn't fear any of them in this world, but elevate yourself so that they no longer see you. Do it now ashen! This is a really Powerful poem. Full of many familiar feelings and emotions, I truly hope you can rise from this and become stronger. |
