Dont look at me, Just let me be My heart is breaking, cant you see? My dignity is gone once more I feel rotten to the core I am me, oh can't you see I loved you with all honesty I made your love fade away To stop the feelings on this day I am not perfect in anyway I can not help what others say I am me, oh cant you see I loved with all honesty All the bad things you said Made me feel as if I was dead All the slaps across my face All done with such terrible haste I am me, oh can't you see I loved you with all honesty I do not love you for being perfect..... I love you for being perfect for me!! |

Anyone who has ever been hurt by someone they love can identify with this poem. And boy did I ever. Makes ya wanna yell out "Just let me be me and accept me for what I am !" Very nice work ! |

Some people don't understand that everytime they mistreat or hurt someone it will not be forgotten...and this accumulation of pain will eventually take its toll until we can bear no more. James |

no one has the right to lay a finger on another person. if not wanted. but words can kill just as easy, with one word an idea or a love or a friendship can be killed. and yes you are you, a good you. Hi I understand that truly as I've felt it , as I've done it to some extent to my love but not exactly. I'm naive, I shouldn't say abt myself, and I curse myslef for not having the sight to look beyond or into something actually when its not obvious. I wait 'til she understands me completely. THis is so very close. Why can't people accept the way we are. I'm sure we've all felt this familiar pain, and nevers seems to go away, comes back stronger every time...draw strength from your friends around...and you'll get through anything. |
