And so I am leaving you here. Unhooking you from my heavy soul, Unwrapping you from around my hidden heart. Old,tattered, used to be bloody bandadges, Habit of looking over my shoulder, Listening for sounds that don't ring true In my surroundings whether old or new, Convincing myself motives of others only Equal alterior----- I can't carry this luggage anymore!!!!! It has left its mark on my face, Now all can see how you treated me. Not sure just why I had to bear this weight, Damn near drowned this fish outta water That I be. But here I stand, waves lapping at my feet, Throwing you to the seas. What? You can't swim? Whoops!! Sorry, fresh out of life buoys. *****kynder The years teach much which the days never know. Hi Thats a good one! Its good that you did it soon enough before he becomes a heavy burden. Don't wait near the waves anymore. Just carry on with life's beauty. Sincerely A_L |
