Who Are You Excuse me? but who are you? I don’t know you! You bear some resemblance to someone I use to know. But your not her! she was a kind person. Someone I loved, someone I gave my heart to. What did you say your name is? I don’t know you. No your not the woman that stayed in my heart, for so long, and gave me the courage to love again. What did you say your name was? Who are you? No your not the woman that melted my heart with I love yours every turn. Your not the woman that took the years of hatred and mistrust, from my heart, and soul. who are you? No your not the woman that I cry over every night. No your not her, she died, within my soul, now only memories are left. Who the hell did you say you were? God I hurt. God I hurt. I want to put something between my fingers and squeeze it till it’s heart God help me. stops beating real slow. like mine. I howl a mornful song, that echos within my chambered heart, for all to read? nay for all to feel. |

Man do we seem to be on the same page today. Great poem, Joel. Too many times I've seen something alien invade the body of someone I loved. Indeed, who, or what? Michael |

Wow!!! I liked this one ALOT! So often this happens and the sad part is..... we never see it coming. Yet we always seem to go on with our lives, carrying the pain right along with us. Great poem, Dark_kissed_within I do not love you for being perfect..... I love you for being perfect for me!! |

Most excellent work Joel. Painful, I hope that by writing all this pain and sadness somehow eases and lets the light shine from within. Daniel The glory of friendship is not the outstretched hand, not the kindly smile, not the joy of companionship; it is the spiritual inspiration that comes to one when he discovers that someone believes in him and is willing to trust him with his friendship." --Ralph Waldo Emerson |

Joel~ Such sorrow, I don't know but sometimes it makes you stop to think that were they ever that person we thought they were in the first place. I can relate~~~~So gut wrenching when we realize they're not who we thought they were or is it we aren't who we thought we were??? I'm confused...Sorry Tracie~< !signature--> Keep all the windows of your mind open Anne Rooks [This message has been edited by tracie66 (edited 04-22-2000).] |
