Nomadic roving placid memories of said good byes, as sweet delicious cravings of your wonders, entered within, hammering my soulless thoughts, staying a tear I held a dry eye. The words kept coming back in a short melody running through my brain, feeling the emotional stirrings escalating my tears within, wary it’s progression like a runaway train. Starting slow like climbing a steep mountain, blowing its whistle of discontent long and low, carrying tormenting echoes throughout my soul, bouncing off canyons of my fading heart far below. hysterically reaching my doorway to shut out this unseen specter locking away evidence of a mortal within so as not a creature could see, my body starting to rack with the unseen grief within me. Running full speed raking memoir wreckage inevitable. inquisitions of love said forever, torturing painful tracks of bruised nerve tissue, digesting introspection of melancholic wails inedible. Slowing reflection acknowledgments, giving no quarter to integral bounds, of mental strains binding sanity, unlocking my false contentment. Pulling the twines of facade, concealing the immeasurable suffering, smiling as I open the door, subsides the whistle of stirred memories, in the distant expiring winds. I howl a mornful song, that echos within my chambered heart, for all to read? nay for all to feel. [This message has been edited by Joel the wolf (edited 04-21-2000).] |

You know, people always tell me I should write so "obscurely"... but hey, I just write what's in my heart... I love this piece the way it is, and I surely can relate to it. I have some very "Nomadic roving memories", even if mine aren't so placid...LOL great poem, joel. Michael |
