I LAUGH TO KEEP FROM CRYING So much pain, so much suffering, so much personal strife So much anguish that occurs in everyday life That sollicits a grimace, and wincing looks about the eyes Unwelcome signs of life that are met with dispise Woe is me, for at times I'm burdened with dispair And burried deep inside is hurt, that with no one, I will share For private is my pain and my personal space But you'd never know that I'm hurting, judging from the look on my face I wail and trevail,... I silently lament Allowing my eyes to become rain clouds as I tearfully stream and vent Catching in the corner of my mouth the salty taste,... Of bitter tears, of inner jeers and overwhelming emotional haste Weeping on the inside while facing tribulation trials All masked behind a pleasant demeanor, and a smile And if you were to ask me about my constant laughter,... in sighing I'd tell you, in all honesty,... I laugh to keep from crying |

oh sweetie. man i have tasted too many of my own tears. this is great work here. i hope it is helping you release some of that pain. may i say God works thru tears, that is when He is closest to you. so it's ok to cry. even for days, weeks, hopefully not months!! *****kynder The years teach much which the days never know. I'm gonna go with kynder on this... Crying helps you release all that anguish and emotional torchure... Take it from me.. Hiding it will only make you worse.. it could get to the point where you can't cry at all Which believe me is so much worse. Excellent poem though... and I hope it helped you somewhat. |

I'm with you I laugh also, ?? now I howl. yes that's it. anyway this is a great way to express a ?? man's point of view. We have been tought not to cry. I have broken the rules. Joel. I howl a mornful song, that echos within my chambered heart, for all to read? nay for all to feel. |
