The Breeze of Jasmine I guess with all that is about, a true love is without a doubt, the most elusive thing we seek. Finding the search exhausting one that leaves us week. Our hearts pour out to the world asking why it is so wrong. Why is it this way? Why is there no heart song? We seek to find a whispering word from all our friends. Something to hold onto in this world, with it’s twist and bends. But like the breeze blowing through a jasmine bush. Running head long into our senses the essence we lush. The fragrance is beyond compare, it brings us tidings of love in the air. We reach out to catch it but in it’s nature, it’s leaves us in anguished despair. Passing us buy a transitory thought it can endure only what it may be! Remember it in the passing is our eternity. What it is not. I howl a mornful song, that echos within my chambered heart, for all to read? nay for all to feel. |

the elusivity of long-lasting love frustrates us as the scent of a flower lasts a mere instant as we pass by, or as we imagine butterfly-wing-dust settling upon our eyelids as we dream of our passions. Nice words to think about. Thanks |

Joel, I love reading this one. I am wordless on how to describe it. I really like this one, I'm sending it to a friend. Daniel The glory of friendship is not the outstretched hand, not the kindly smile, not the joy of companionship; it is the spiritual inspiration that comes to one when he discovers that someone believes in him and is willing to trust him with his friendship." --Ralph Waldo Emerson |

Joel~ Loved this poem of yours....Thats the thing about our senses, once we have experienced the smell, taste and touch of something we never forget it. So the same with love, it may leave us but is never forgotten because those senses never forget. Tracie~ Keep all the windows of your mind open Anne Rooks |

This one needed several reads..and I like that in a poem...gets the mind and imagination working! "Love is the only drug you can take that will convince you each time that you've never had it before." ~author unknown~ |
