Jaded stars can be beautiful too
Pathetically drowning in an shallow puddle
Killing my fire once provided by you
A soul that can drain surpisingly suddle

Its amazing how you dont need what you want
But how you die when what you want is what you need
And you relize to late but soon enough to enjoy the taunt
Life is great when your concious enough to watch Life bleed

Living only for the beauty of the moment, I could die
I was a big flamming accident you regret having created
I lost myself in a better place found in your eyes
A place bright and shinny but gold plated

Its not so much that you are gone....
Its the fact that we are missing....

from which evolves the light...

Thank you very much Avanti, I those are my 2 favorite parts of the poem as well, the last 2 lines, basically summed up what I was trying to say, I am glad that they were as impressive as I hoped.

Thank You,

Your friend

Ember....how could you ever think that you couldn't write? Once again excellent poem. I liked the whole thing...but especially the last two lines.

humming madly
filling my head
with blood
and sorrow
and dread
the executioner's song."
