I thought I could trust you Why I don't know. I took a nude picture for your eyes only, not to show. You swore to me you wouldn't let anyone see and for some reason I thought that's how it would be. You said that you loved me so I gave you a picture of my body to see. You gave it to "your boy" knowing soon that all would see. If you loved me like you say you do you would cherish my body, parts unknown. You wouldn't pass my picture around like some hoe. You wouldn't want my body to be shown. You told me before to "trust no one" but I thought I could still trust you. I guess the words you said "trust no one" not even you, were true. I returned two pictures. to my X after we split. I can look myself in the mirror. ok. Trust is earned, not taken nor promised. Joel. I howl a mornful song, that echos within my chambered heart, for all to read? nay for all to feel. |
