"She feels too much" some people would say
Sometimes, it's all she can do
                         to get through the day
But wherever a soul is troubled, or a heart is in need
She holds up the light and
proves to be a true friend indeed

The pain, sometimes, can take a heavy toll
Sometimes, she really wonders
if her heart will ever be whole
Her body showing the ravages of the pain
May never ever in this life
                         be healed ever again

She prays at night to not drink from that cup
But daily it is served to her
sometimes she is forced to sup
The beast rules her life, so it would seem
She wonders if the happiness she seeks
                         is only just a dream

Come and be healed, gentle empath
Lay your pain at the feet of one
                         who also practices the craft
He will heal your pain and give you reason to live
So that you may keep being a light to others
and still have a heart to give

Joel.

I howl a mornful song, that echos within my chambered heart, for all to read? nay for all to feel.

another beautiful poem Sven, great job

 Mystical being
which makes ink flow
Surround me in
your incandescent glow
Fill my brain with
thoughts and rhyme
As I try to capture
but a moment in time

An empath a beautiful creature
loved this poem really very much

  Hello darkness, my old friend,
I've come to talk with you again,
Because a vision softly creeping,
Left its seeds while I was sleeping,
And the vision that was planted in my brain
Still remains
Within the sound of silence.

From a heart who has heard all of her life "you are too sensitive" "you are too emotional" "you are too giving"
this was exactly what I needed to keep going. It was beautiful.

Sven,
Great poem....I enjoyed it very much.  "She" is lucky to have such a caring friend.  I love the layout too.

oh sven you didnt have to write me a poem LOL

this is SO PERFECT and SO beautiful...
as is the sweet loving songbird it was written for...
I bet she gad the biggest smile on her face while reading it...
I'd pay money to see it--  how bout you?
great poem Sven, truly.
take care, jm

Well the sun sets gently on your shoulders
And it makes me want to touch you there.
And the light in your eyes makes me feel
Like there's something much better out there
Something kind...
And I know someday I might be looking around
Trying to find some purpose
Well purpose it can't be that hard to find
As long as I've got the wind...
The wind and your love to carry me.
