Embracing the Dark Shunning the Light Finding comfort that was deprived by the light Thriving in the Night The howling of wolves Music to my ears, the elegant beauty of the moon Peace is found in the forbidding dark The Silver Moon shines down illuminating the splendid terrain A slight breeze gently glides across my warm cheek, the faint sound of leaves rustling in the distance The calming sounds from the creatures Such Peace in the Night Harmony in every aspect A faint glow from the lake Leaves dancing in the air The stars adding to the spectacular Chirping of grasshoppers Hooting of Owls Song of the Wind Rippling of the Lake Allure of the moon I thrive in the darkness Where the true Harmony and Splendor of Nature can be found. The glory of friendship is not the outstretched hand, not the kindly smile, not the joy of companionship; it is the spiritual inspiration that comes to one when he discovers that someone believes in him and is willing to trust him with his friendship." --Ralph Waldo Emerson |

The darkness where solice is found is false we exist there in deference to the norm in a hope of being different or of being the same it is all we know or all we long to be Hello darkness, my old friend, I've come to talk with you again, Because a vision softly creeping, Left its seeds while I was sleeping, And the vision that was planted in my brain Still remains Within the sound of silence. |

Now your talking my language, I live where the wolves howl in the night at the moon. And it is elegant music of the night. Joel. |

thank you everyone for your replies and comments of this poem. The glory of friendship is not the outstretched hand, not the kindly smile, not the joy of companionship; it is the spiritual inspiration that comes to one when he discovers that someone believes in him and is willing to trust him with his friendship." --Ralph Waldo Emerson |
