I thought this would only be a couple pages of my life
A chapter at most surely, but not a whole novel
Yet it has become a tragedy, yet to come to a conclusion
Page after page I turn looking for a change
Chapter after chapter I wonder why there is no new plot
I used to think life was interesting
Things seemed to go my way sometimes
Alas, what I want is unattainable, out of reach
Page after page I realize that I cannot ever have what I wish for
Now this book has become heavy, and awkward to carry
With each page more brittle than the last, I find it hard not to tear
As I read on the ink seems smeared and words hard to read
I know not why I keep trying to find a mean
The book is dull … no adventure, no risk
Yet for some reason I still believe that this will change
So page after page I turn looking for a change
Hoping for a plot to follow
A life to love

There's a peace inside us all
Let it be your friend
It will help you carry on
In the end
There's a peace inside us all

IN time the plot will change.  At least that is what I keep believing for my story.  All things come to those who wait

The glory of friendship is not the outstretched hand, not the kindly smile, not the joy of companionship; it is the spiritual inspiration that comes to one when he discovers that someone believes in him and is willing to trust him with his friendship."

Sometimes it is amazing how something you thought was so insignificant becomes such a big part of your life. That's what I hear in your words. Embrace life, good things will come

Take a chance, don't follow the words anymore that you keep reading over and over.  Write new words, begin new chapters, add excitment between the lines, and then hopefully, the end will be satisfying.
