I run from the truth that baits me here tonight, Refugee heading for the unknown, Sole survivor of this endless plight, A soul with nowhere I can call home. When will my soul be truly free? In some ways I'm blind, when will I see? My self induced hell, I need to break this damning spell. I pray for release from all this earthly pain, Shell shocked I can't face anymore strain, I struggle now to hold back those tears, I'm weak, can hardly fight the fears. What does it mean to be free? So I'm blinded, when will I see? Is this what hell is meant to be? Why won't 'they' let me be? Demons, memories, betrayed by my own heart, God I wish someone could have warned me at the start, Hopes, courage, all to rare, Sometimes I wish I just didn't care. Living in dark days, Hoping for some peace and light, Hoping for the courage, To continue the fight. These feelings, this hurt, this constant pain, Constant letdowns, will I survive? Remain sane? I try so hard to banish the bad, And I'm always left feeling so weak and sad. Will I ever be free? Why does this always happen to me? My hell rolling on endlessly.. Why won't they just let me be? I want to yell at them for not letting them be, Isis. Because I know how this feels. It's as if everyone lives in their own hell sometimes and it's just so horrible. I hope these bad feelings pass soon. I know some days can just feel like you're living in that hell more than usual. Be your strong self. Joy |
