He spies the perfect rose unto thoughts of loving binds (She clings to life within the group of loves finds) He draws near to inhale the lush sent. (She pulls back knowing destinies desires spent.) He reaches forth to pluck this rose of magnificent gender. (she feels natures forces and her stirring surrender) Striding forth with this beauty of surprise. (Her vine wilting soon, her beauty surmised.) His dreams of reconcile lay heavily upon his mind (She dreams of life, love and painless strife, upon the vine.) Oh withered rose, deep within, what once was, is still without sin. Oh true love could never be more, his love for this rose for ever more. In haste he thrust this rose that still smelled all to sweet, to his lovers hands, and bowed at her feet. (She knew this was her desire, a rose complete.) Crying his undying love and a lifetime of devotion, (She spent tears of escalating years in vacant emotion.) Her beauty had bloomed , short lived withering to the past, a mortal illusion a falsehood that fades fast. .His perusal of the rose with love seeing the beauty within, entomb deep her love this rose without sin. Peaceful is the night wrapped within his arms his frantic love and all his charms won her over. He sleeps within all his dreams fulfilled of love, a peaceful shade of Night Queen fragrance, A wolfs cry and flying doves. As all, this rose must succumb to the test of flesh, as this rose withers she sees this man that had plucked her at best. He shared his life his undying devotion, he stayed true, as he said he would as all men should with true emotion. |

this piece was incredible. the second to the last stanza said it all for me. i have been that rose. i had bloomed and died in a love untrue. but, the rose does bloom again. fuller, and more radiant than the season before, no? i truly enjoyed the read. |
